Know what each student needs. Have their next practice ready.
Completion lists tell you who practiced. Musical Caterpillar tells you what each student still needs. Short note-reading and rhythm checks reveal where students get stuck. Review suggested practice, assign music games, and see what improves. Preview the actual teacher workspace with fictional sample students before creating a free account (sign up with Google in one click) to explore the demo class. No card needed.
A weekly practice plan groups students by note accuracy, note speed, or rhythm needs. Review who is included, then assign focused practice and a follow-up check. Teachers stay in control of what gets assigned. For targeted sight-reading, generate Sight Reader melodies focused on selected notes at your chosen level, key, and meter.
Student games stay free. Founding teacher pricing is $9/month or $99/year during the paid pilot, for one classroom or private-studio teacher. Standard pricing is planned at $15/month or $129/year. Bringing a department or a whole school? Contact us and we will set up teacher accounts with you. Request pilot access and we will follow up personally to help you get started.
Teacher tools include rosters, personal student codes, individual and group assignments, note-reading and rhythm results, live monitoring during signed-in Note Speller and Notes Per Minute free practice, and printable class and student reports.
Assign Note Speller, Notes Per Minute, Rhythm Benchmark, Bearglar, Sight Reader, and Scalecracker. Butterfly Keys teaches first piano skills to ages 4–7 and reports which notes each child finds on the first try. Chord Snowman and Caterpillar Studio are also free to play but do not yet send results to teacher reports. Supported games offer MIDI input on compatible laptops and Chromebooks.
